About
Working primarily in mixed media, her practice moves between collage, relief, and minimalist abstraction, exploring how form, light, and spatial rhythm shape perception. Influenced by both natural systems and modernist design, she builds compositions that invite slow looking, balancing geometry and texture with conceptual clarity.
Using materials like wood and paper, Jessie engages in a process of material restraint to distill visual language. Through repetition, negative space, and structural nuance, she investigates how minimal means can produce complex sensory experiences in response to an image-saturated culture.
Jessie Laura is a Peruvian visual artist and creative director based in San Francisco, CA.
